Module 2 has helped me understand the detail that is required in planning classroom projects. It also allowed me to see how well you can correlate two subjects into one, and also use a great deal of technology. Creating a site for students to use to look up assignments, etc. is going to be a great tool.
Module 2 has made me think accross the curriculum. While creating my unit plan I have taken objectives or standards from Engligh, Social Studies, and Technology to create a project. This module has also helped me develop an essential question for the unit.
Module 2 has really helped me in understand the essential questions that will drive my units and the challenges that I will face in trying to make these questions relevant to two subject areas.
CFQs can be great tools for directing a course over the duration of a semester or a year. Having broad essential questions allow for students to interpret lessons in their own ways while keeping them directed on the course content. Good unit questions and content questions provide students with direction from the instructor while allowing students to perform their own investigation to find answers.
Module 2 has really enhanced my abilities in creating structured unit plans and their contents such as personalized curriculum framing questions while being able to integrate the usage of technological resources.
Today I have focused on the integration of standards and a project's connection to the real-world. In addition to this I have clarified my own thinking about essential, unit, and content questions and their importance to the everyday learning of students. A varied assessment plan has been formulated that will ensure both formative and summative assessment.
